Design studios can be for any number of things that need designed. There are design firms for websites, logos, brochures, kids stuff, stuff for the elderly. non-profit, fashion, music industry, architecture, industrial, furniture etc.
A design studio is where a designer(or designers) go to do their work and possibly meet with clients.
