What is the large deal over HDR photography??
its just mixing 2 or 3 different exposures to obtain 1 decent searching image? I have been carrying this out for a long time simply to replace with my very own weak points however its like some type of new & amazing technique? Uhm..no...
Yea I had been doin it in 1997 let's start with regular pictures and then with digital ones, it appeared such as the apparent factor to complete once the sky was blown out, I'd just extract heaven and adjust the curves till it looked awesome then mix again.
Just appears like someone thought up a reputation for it and all of a sudden its 'cool'

No, it isn't new or amazing....however, years before we required to do all of this manual work to obtain the things they are in possession of automated tools to complete.
Nikon even comes with an in-camera HDR-like feature within their more recent DSLRs. It's known as D-lighting.
Until sensor technology will get nearer to film and also the eye...these power tools is going to be essential to make images look a lot more like we see them.
