Law yellow flashing lights on car?
I take photography at times and need to park on the side of roads at times. Is it ok to have a yellow flashing light in my car rear / front windows or is that against the law without some license?

I would check with your local PD, but AFAIK, there are no restrictions on any colors besides emergency (red and blue).
Although I have to ask, why not just put on your hazard lights?
