Photography Award Winning
How is this possible?
All growing up, I seemed to be gifted in the following areas: photography, sketching, watercolor, oils, pastels, charcoal, even poetry, and I was 18 chapters into a fiction book I was writing. I even won awards for these projects and received many kudos. Here's the clincher...
Ever since I moved out at 18 (5.5 years ago), I have been practically unable to draw a stick figure, let alone an award-winning piece of art or photograph. Not to mention, writing in my journal is long-since a chore - so no incredible inspiration to write short stories or poetry. As far as my "book" goes...? Not a chance in this world I'll ever finish it!!!
My question is, have you ever heard of someone having unique, obviously gifted abilities suddenly stripped from them almost "overnight"?? Am I missing something here? What are some likely (not retarded) scenarios for this?
One possible scenario is that subconsciously you excelled in creative areas because one of your parents put a lot of psychological pressure on you through negative comunicative behavior; so to win approval or attention, that you would otherwise not have gotten, you excelled in creativity.
Then when you have left the household that psychological weight has been lifted, and you are now suddenly psychologically free.
Some who are gifted don't realize they are socially deprived in some way, and some show symptoms of Asperger's.
By "positive transfer" you will excell in other areas, but you should be able to apply you talents that you developed in a variety of fields.
If you mean that you are physically unable to draw at the same level of ability that you had before, then that is usually caused by some kind of brain damage, or lesion in the brain.
