BTEC National Diploma or A Levels ?

I am so confused, ive been looking at different colleges prospectus and im not sure about what courses i want to study neither am i sure about what i want to do career wise. I am a C/D student when it comes to subjects such as english, science and maths but both my art and photography teachers know that I am capable of getting an A/B grade. My art teacher recommend BTEC national diploma in design which i am quite keen on but im not sure if i would benefit out of doing BTEC. (currently in year 11)

What do i do?
Should i do BTEC or A levels?
What is the difference between the two?

I studied BTEC and A levels at college
There are no exams in BTEC, just coursework
It amounts to about 2 A Levels
A Levels are like GCSEs - Exams and coursework
You have more of a chance of passing if you study the BTEC as well, therefore increasing the likelihood of being accepted into university.
BTEC and A Levels both have their own points which add up
Uni doesn't really care whether you have a BTEC, A Levels, or both
They just care about your points
