Photography and Cameras and gifts?
How many of you guys are planning on/getting a camera, lenses....etc for Christmas this year? Or purchasing it for someone else? If so, what?
Meh.....this hobby of mine is way too expensive for someone to just "gift" me my long awaited D700.....but it's not for a lack of begging and pleading. However, I did give myself a one month rental of a nikkor 85mm f/1.4, courtesy of lensrentals.com for Christmas........which I will be using to shoot the entire family's holiday portraits, with prints and everything (albeit inkjet prints on epson paper.........but hey, we're in a recession. No shame in that methinks......epson paper is expensive!). I will be giving my parents and inlaws those big metalized prints from mpix (that's like $34 a pop!). That's it though.
