What do you think about my career plans?
okay so im in year 10 right now and we have been givin our subject selection sheets
and i was thinking about aiming to become a vet nurse (the reason why is that i dont think i could take the full on operations like a veternarian does)
or photographer , or a hair dresser
heres my plans 1.i will fully complete year 11 (next year) - that will qualify me to be able to become a hair dresser. i will hopefully get at least 60 credits in any four subjects which will qualify me to be able to become a photographer and a vet nurse (60 credits is the amount you have to get at level two ncea) then in year 12 i have to pass ncea level 3
so do you think its a good idea
p.s im thinking of photography for my plan b to vet nursing and hair ressing is my plan c after that (incase i fail ) lol
They are all good plans, have you considered visiting the businesses that are likely to employ your services and pro-actively finding out what they would expect? Having the appropriate grades tends not to be enough to secure a career these days as competition is very high, employers also look at what extra-curricular responsibilities you have handled, other work experience etc.
Still the fact that you're thinking about your career is a good thing.
