Careers in Photography or painting? please help

I just got my first camera (ever), a couple months ago and I realized how much I enjoy photography (not that I am a photographer or anything). And I really enjoy paiting, watercolor and oil.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew or had suggestions of stable careers with painting or photography.
I have always wanted to become a vet, biologist or work for Fish and Game and I was wondering if there is a career where that animal aspect could be incorporated with art.

Thanks, I just wish I knew how people get started, how they get into those careers.
I will do some research.
Other suggestions welcome.
You can be a wild life photographer.Travel the country shooting photos of wild life.
Or you can be a photographer who only photographs pets.There are people who pay money to have photos of their pets taken.
