How do you become a photography teacher?

I just recieved an associates degree in photography. What would be my next steps to becoming a high school level photography teacher? Would I just have to get my teaching certificate/degree(2 years) or would i need more experience in photo (bachelors)? Any help from teachers/photographers would be appreciated.

Teaching requirements vary from state to state. You need to contact someone in your state Department of Education to verify what is required.

Establishing some contacts at local schools couldn't hurt either, as you will need to find out which, if any, offer the kind of courses you're wanting to teach.

Good Luck!
