How to get more votes for a contest?
I'm a fairly new pet photography business, and one of our news stations has a yearly contest, the "10 News A-list", where I'm up for best pet photography. I've noticed a couple of my competitors recently shot up in the standings dramatically. I'm wondering how to get many more votes. I posted to Facebook, and Twittered. Let your friends know; email folks; tell your family to tell THEIR friends; if you work, tell your colleagues, and ask them to have their family support you; vote as often as you are allowed.
A friend of mine did this for "prettiest cat" in Chicago a couple of years ago and came in second place.
