Portraits Photography Gallery
Good galleries, interesting spots for photography and sketching in London.?
I need to start packing out my sketchbook a little more, does anyone know any good places with interesting architecture or stuff to look at to sketch and photograph. I also want to go to galleries. I know the Theatre Gallery, the Portrait Gallery and the Tate Moden and Britain, but does anyone know any other cool (and free) places I could go? Preferably indoors too!
You could try sketching the Victorian cast iron architectural features of Leadenhall Market, Leadenhall Street (open at the ends, but covered), or the Market Hall in Covent Garden. Both are free access.
The animal carvings on the internal columns of the Natural History Museum, South Kensington, or perhaps the Cast Court (plaster casts of monuments and statues) in the Victoria and Albert Museum next door could give you some interesting subjects. Both are, to my knowledge, free.
