Memory card for camera?
I’ve been looking for a good quality memory card for my Casio FH-20 to record golf swings in slow motion. I bought a Lexar Platinum ii SDHC 32GB card, and I guess I didn’t really pay attention when the woman said it is a class 10 card. I now see the packaging says it’s a class 4… but it also says it writes at 60x 9MB/s. So I’m a little confused now. At 9MB/s shouldn’t the card be around a class 10? Thanks
On 21 May 2009, Panasonic announced new “class 10″ SDHC cards, claiming that this new class is “part of SD Card Specification Ver.3.0″
Class 2: 2 MByte/s – 13x
Class 4: 4 MByte/s – 26x
Class 6: 6 MByte/s – 40x
What is the problem? Is the card too slow to write the video?
60x is quite slow although faster than the Class 6 spec.
The slowest CF cards sold at this time are at 133x. There are much, much faster cards, but camera would have to support UDMA at speeds higher than 266x.
Since you are recording golf swings, my guess that a few good 4 gb cards would have done the trick.
