Photography Hobbyists- What do you do with your photos?
I ventured into photography in the past, but ended up selling my equipment because I didn't use it. And after thinking about it, I didn't use it because I didn't know what to do with my photos. So photography hobbyists, what do you do with the photos that you take? Do you keep them for yourself? Or put them on display for all to see somewhere? Please share! Thanks
I try to get at least 4 x 6 prints of most everything. I will use a very low cost lab, such as Arts Cow for casual snapshots, and a much better lab, such as Mpix for more important photos. Many photos go on web pages, and most all onto flashdrive and CDs. Of course, I have lots of photo albums in the closet. Then with film, there is negative archiving and storage to do. Very special photos, or photos destined for a gallery, are of course, printed much larger.
The beauty of my little Fuji Instax camera is that it makes the photo for you immediately, you put it in an album, and you are done!
Your point is well taken though. What to do with the photos is quite a fundamental issue that you must exercise some control and organization over or it will overwhelm you and many photos that could be important to you in the future will be lost.
