What settings do I want to use?

Exposure Metering:

Can someone explain what these mean and which one do I want to use for general photography??

af zone is the area where your camera will auto-focus. you can change it so it focuses on the centre all the time or on the right all the time etc or so that it just chooses where it thinks you want to focus automatically (not very reliable generally),
