Photographer or Pharmacist?

I'm currently a senior in High School and I'm trying to decide what career to pursue in college. Photography is my passion. I would love to become a photographer. However, I'm afraid that I won't make enough to live comfortably. Seeing as I live in a small town. (Greenville, SC) I have also thought about becoming a Pharmacist. The salary is great, although I've heard the schooling is quite difficult. I know that everyone always states that you shouldn't choose a job based on how much money you will make, do something you love. I just want to make sure that a choose a profession that will allow me to dodge the financial trouble I've witnessed my parents going through.

You could do both!
Practice pharmacy in college and do photography independently or minor in photography. You could just do photography but like you said, you don't make that much unless you make a good name for yourself.
If you REALLY want to do pharmacy then you should do it, but remember that it is very difficult and you're risking a lot of your college social life, not to mention it is highly competitive. On the other hand...there's not many careers where you earn a yearly $100,000 salary right out of graduate school while just taking 6 years of schooling.

In general, do pharmacy if you are really dedicated and motivated. If not, major in photography and marry a guy who will support you financially (I'm not saying that you should be a gold digger).
