tamron and sigma lenses vs canon/nikon?
Sigma and Tamron both make lenses for nikon and canon cameras...even some high end ones..but are they really worth buying over the real things??
Also, are there any other companies that make lenses for canon and nikon other than
sigma and tamron that are high quality??

yes. you can make sweeping comparisons between brands. here's why....
third party lenses are cheaper for two reasons. one is because you are paying for the canon or nikon name. yes. there is markup because of the name.
but the most important reason they are categorically cheaper is because third party manufacturers cut costs by reducing the quality and performance of their products. they use faster, cheaper techniques and lesser raw materials. this results in an inferior product.
want proof OEM brands are best? thats easy.
look at any photographer who earns a living taking pictures. what lens is attached to his camera body? 99 out of 100 times it is a name brand match. do you need more proof than that?
