Wireless Camera Internet Security

Wireless PCI cards Netgear and ASUS?
I am working on a system for my network of friends.
Who all can connect into my pc and share internet access, and share files. And monitor each others property (security) Camera
At the moment i have 3 of my friends connected and everything is working great.
I need to use another PCI wireless card in my PC, I have NETGEAR with yagi antenna installed at the moment, and thought if i used My spare ASUS wireless card with a yagi antenna.
I would be able to give connection with my fourth friend.
But when installed the asus card, my pc crashed with Blue screen?? ROOT END Message appeared????
Does this mean it not possible to use 2 wireless cards in the same system?
Its complicated, But my other friend lives the oposite direction from the netgear and yagi, and does not recieve.
Hope someone can give advice, as i am learning by myself, with no help at all.
yes you can run both of them in the machine..but what it seems is that you have a driver conflict going on..make sure the second card is using the proper drive and that the system actually sees it..hope this is a direction for you…

Heterogeneous Wireless Networks- Networking Protocol to Security $90.48 Heterogeneous wireless networks (HWNs) provide flexible and diversified wireless network access (e.g., cellular, IEEE 802.11) by integrating cellular networks, wireless LANs, and ad hoc networks with the Internet. It has been emerging as a promising solution to offer a variety of exciting applications, anytime and anywhere. The flexibility and benefits of the HWN, for example, is to extend the service coverage of the existing cellular and WLAN infrastructure, to improve the communication throughput, and reduce packet transmission latency, based on availability of different types of radio network in the roaming area (cellular, WLAN, or others). In the study, we answer some fundamental questions in the design and deployment of a HWN. The first is how to effectively operate a mobile terminal in ad hoc mode to access the Internet through a cellular network, WLAN or other underlying wireless access networks. The second is how to design ubiquitous seamless mobility support for a roaming user, allowing ubiquitous and bi-directional Internet accessibility, connectivity, and mobility. Finally, it answers the questions that what is the security threats for a mobile terminal that is operating in the ad hoc mode, and how to provide information confidentiality for a continuously moving mobile terminal. |

Mobile Internet $36.48 Consumers want it, businesses are demanding it. The migration of Internet services to a mobile environment is inevitable. But while the ability to be on the go and connected to the Internet sets the stage for increased efficiency and productivity, many technical challenges associated with user mobility and wireless connectivity remain. Mobile Internet: Enabling Technologies and Services addresses these challenges and thoroughly examines the cutting-edge technologies designed to meet them. Eminent academic and industry professionals explain the mobile and wireless network technologies that make mobile connectivity possible, including their respective characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. Much of the book focuses on the mobility management techniques so necessary when the point of network attachment can change constantly. Macro-mobility and micro-mobility management protocols receive extensive attention, as do security concerns. Other key topics include interworking between WLAN and cellular networks, Internet access over WLANs, over GPRS and over satellites, multicasting, quality-of-service provisions, header compression schemes, and the problems inherent in video streaming over wireless IP networks. Little on our technological horizon is as certain or holds as much promise as the mobile Internet. This book offers a unique opportunity to become thoroughly acquainted with its context, services, and technologies. |
